About
AniLess is a free daily game about anime openings. Every day the same three openings go out to every player, and you try to name each show from as little of its opening as you can.
Where the openings come from
Every clip is the official TV opening, played from YouTube through YouTube's own embedded player. Videos come from the rights holders' channels: the “Anime ver.” uploads that MyAnimeList links for each show, or openings published on official channels such as Crunchyroll's YouTube channel, Aniplex, TOHO animation and similar. AniLess does not host, download or re-upload any audio or video, and it does not use any other streaming site.
Before an opening is added, it is checked to make sure the video exists, can be embedded, plays in most countries, and comes from a channel on our approved list. If a video is taken down later, that opening is replaced in the daily set.
