Privacy

AniLess has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. Your guesses are never sent to an AniLess server, because there isn't one: the site is a set of static files.

What is stored on your device

The game uses your browser's local storage for two things:

• aniless:daily:v4:<date>: your progress and results for that day. Entries older than 14 days are deleted automatically.
• aniless:volume: your volume and mute setting.

Nothing else is stored, and none of it leaves your device. Clearing your site data for AniLess removes it all. If your browser blocks storage, the game still works but won't remember your progress.

Third parties your browser contacts

• YouTube (Google). The clips play in YouTube's embedded player, which loads when you open the game page. AniLess uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). In this mode, YouTube says it does not store information about your visit to personalise your browsing unless you play a video. Once a video plays, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
• AniList. Cover images load from AniList's image server after each round. Like any image request, this shares your IP address and browser details with AniList.
• Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site.

Changes

If AniLess ever adds analytics or ads, this page will be updated before they go live, and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.
